Just a question - Since so much of medical transcription today involves editing rather than typing, do you feel that you've lost your typing skills/speed? I've been working in transcription for 17 years, yet my typing speed is about 50-60 wpm mostly due to the fact that what I've done for the majority of my career is editing, not transcription. Now, there are companies out there that are looking for transcriptionists, not editors, and there is no way that I can compete. Has anyone had similar difficulty and, if so, what was your solution?
