On site jobs - Miserable on site

I inherited my current job after my MT department was outsourced, I'm a QA specialist and it's pretty high pressure, I've taken on quite a bit of extra responsibility. That's fine and the job is a good fit, I'm compensated well and I have great benefits but in 40 years of working I've never experienced coworkers like these, I swear one of them would throw her first born under a bus if she thought the boss would give her some brownie points. I've been "tattled on" several times for stupid stuff that you would never believe. I'm 62 and hoped to retire early but I would really get hurt financially and it's really hard to get hired for anything else as I'm sure you all know, so I'm sticking it out for as long as I'm able, some days getting fired sounds like a good thing. So I would say that the grass might be greener on the other side of the fence. I do miss the old MT days when I could just plug in my headphones and escape into transcription land when someone else had to solve the problems. Sorry for the rant, it's been quite a week.
