If no pickle juice around, a nice yummy spoonful of mustard. Also, can you correlate it with an increased carb intake? I have been cutting carbs/sugar and the cramps went away.

Also, dehydration is a more long-term issue. My sister gets dehydrated frequently and her doc said to be sure she increased her fluid intake at least 3 days before airplane travel. Best to keep a glass of water desk-side.

Alternative acupressure technique has also helped me. Press your index finger on your "mustache" (between your nose and upper lip area across your teeth).
(not quite as good as prevention, but has helped).
