I'm thinking of accepting an IC job...didn't want - to go that route as I am

used to being an employee, but I'm getting desperate and got the offer...

I'm just so afraid of the tax aspect -- I know you have to pay your own taxes, etc....what about social security? Do you pay into that somehow? Since there's no 401k, maybe no SS that I'm paying into anymore, I'm afraid that once I retire my SS payment will be too low to live on when the time comes. Advice ?a
