What we can do is refuse to work in conditions that are detrimental to us. Yes, that includes refusing to work for companies that do not pay well enough. That includes refusing to work for companies that bring down our rates with the use of technology that does not increase our productivity enough to justify the cut in pay. Working from home should in no way bring down the value of the work done. Sadly, way too many people accept to work in conditions that are detrimental to them just for the joy of working from home (hurting those who need to work for a living and earn a decent wage in the process). We have to think about the common good. That is the major element that is missing.
