I work in-house at a rural hospital in the midwest and I make - AmericanMT Posted: Aug 26th, 2016 - 2:35 pm In Reply to: Serious question for in-house MTs - sm - mt2
$15 an hour. I've been at this job for two years and I started out at $13. I have 23 years experience and I had worked at home for different services for many, many years as an MT and in QA. I watched the MT per line dwindle along the amount of work available, they started paying QA on production at LESS per line, and I struggled to earn a decent living. When the job I have now opened up, I jumped on it.
If you found an in-house MT job that pays hourly with benefits, go for it! Even if they offer you $12 an hour, I think it would be worth it in the long run.
Good Luck to you!
