All of us who have been MTs for decades can vouch for the fact that whoever is telling you it's a high-demand field is lying. That's what the CareerStep and Andrews and all of the schools will tell you because they don't give a crap what happens to you, as long as they have your money. Your RN friend who's doing so well at coding....hopefully that will not change. But coding is universally going to automation, which will ultimately eliminate the need for humans to do it.
