If they just hadn't slashed our pay.
Had they continued to pay us 10 cents a line AND added VR, we would have made about the same amount of $$$, gotten used to editing versus transcription eventually, had more patience teaching the system (especially when sending it overseas screwed it up), and they would still have the best and the brightest, including those of us who stay now only because we have to for personal reasons.
Too bad.
As the other MT said, we didn't used to have monitoring of inactive time. They started to push us to produce more about 3-4 years ago, and with that came inactive time monitoring.
Then everyone stepped up their production to avoid getting fired for not meeting lph since many of us ended up on PM...and quality went down the toilet. So now there seems to be a push toward quality, so now we have audits coming out our ears.
