Thank you, wannie, for the quick response. I was blown away by the low line rates but was told they pay for header, footer, abbreviations, and spaces and that that should more than make up the difference. The recruiter was honest by telling me that the account they are hiring for is almost all speech editing. I find it very disappointing that with people in other fields having their pay steadily increase over the years with experience, ours has gone just the opposite way.
