loved it. It seems like the best of both worlds to me (at least with my employer) because SS and Medicare taxes were taken out of paycheck, so no hassle with that, and I had all the flexibility in scheduling as an IC. At tax time, I was still able to deduct business expenses. I would say it is definitely worth looking into.
