My career started in Medical Records then I jumped over to MT and loved it, was making 60k a year. Here it is 19 years later and I am going back to work in Medical Records. I feel a bit sad as I thought that I would finish my working years as an MT. but when your wage has dropped to less than a 1/3 of what you were making it is time to make a change. I hung on as long as I possibly could, but we all have our breaking points and I found mine. Good luck to you that are still trying to stick it out, I just could not afford to do it any longer.
