Half line rates for the knowledge that it takes to edit rotten VR - which often amounts to near re-transcribing jobs. Pay rates that haven't budged one inch since the early 2000s. Shockingly rude communications from supervisors. Inappropriate "independent contractor" status to avoid labor laws. No work, then expecting people to work extra when work levels surge. Outsourcing the "easy" work because that's all that offshore people can manage. Large numbers of experienced people leaving the field.
...and American medical records, which are HIGHLY sensitive, being processed offshore where there is virtually NO hope of ever successfully prosecuting a hack or even direct mishandling.
A job action HAS BECOME NECESSARY, not only to assert our rightful expectations in the workforce, but to force compliance with the law.
