They do want us to post the OOW e-mail as soon as we are out of work. This does help them see where and when they are overbooked with employees, etc.
I have been told to use only one OOW 15-minute period per shift if I am coming back or not coming back. Because I have a split shift, theoretically I could use two 10-minute OOW clockins, but I rarely ever have that issue.
If later in the week there is a lot of work, I will ask to make up that time, if the workload permits. I cannot either afford 3-5 hours weekly with no work.
