Path work has the albatross of the requisition slips, which are connected to each specimen to follow it through the process (gross, micro, etc.). The slips are one reason that so many hospitals don't send their path out.
Twice in the past I transcribed Path remotely, and both times the big slow-down was these slips. They were scanned into a document we had access to but couldn't print, so we had to constantly refer back to the doc to get the info from the slip to type.
Anyone here doing path work? Has someone come up with a better way to do it since my experience years ago?
