If you're classified as an exempt (salaried) employee and are not paid for overtime, effective 12/1/16, you must earn at least $917/week or $46,684 a year to be classified salaried and not paid overtime. So if you do QA or Team Lead or any type of administrative/management position for your MTSO, these rules will apply. You will have to clock in and out and meet the minimum. It's a huge change, as the current minimum for salary employees is $455/week or $23,660/year. So the minimum salary to qualify is over double effective this year.
This will be a huge change to many MTSOs for their QA and lead positions.
