Mine has survived the years, many moves and upgrades to new computers, etc. If I ever lose my info, all I have to do is contact the company and they'll send instructions on how to set up on a new PC or laptop.
I use it for multiple things, not just medical (general letters and correspondence, legal stuff, school papers, etc.).
For me it has been entirely worth it.
