I ran into this problem several years ago. I think I had Windows 7 and the account was only compatible with XP. There was a workaround this, however. The company's IT guy "tricked" my computer into thinking it was running on XP. I've forgotten how, but it was a very simple thing for him to do. Hope this helps.
