You need it. You don't need insurance for piddly doctor visits and most meds. With all the ads for side effects, I won't take any medications that haven't been on the market for 20 years, so they are usually generic. Also, we have an office of nurse practitioners who will do an office visit for $70.00. I can live with that, but I nearly went bankrupt when my MM insurance first refused to cover my hysterectomy.
