To reinstall the OS, you must delete the previous one, and hence all programs and apps already installed, including your .net program and pretty much have to start over on everything. Some people just do not want to have to go through that. I sure wouldn't, although I have had to on more than one occasion when an unscrupulous IT person invaded my computer and a virus, and lost all info... right in the middle of a work day. Won't happen again. Nobody gets on my computer except me! Ever!
