You will have a deductible no matter - jeezlouise

what plan you buy: this has nothing to do with the ACA. The ACA has made plans more affordable. Most people buying a plan because they are ICs or their employers do not offer insurance were paying through the lungs for insurance - monthly premiums in the thousands. Even with employer insurance, employees still had deductibles.

Look at it from a risk POV. You can use the $48/month, get a physical, get your gyno visit in, and mammo (these might even be free) and only lay out a co-pay. Your risk if you become ill or injured is that you'll have to pay off a $6k tab - maybe. The risk of NOT having insurance is bigger. A trip to the ER can cost you $6k or you might end up with an illness or injury that costs thousands more.

If you cannot afford $48/month and occasional copays, then it's not the insurance costs that are the problem.
