Headset volume control light - Anon

Posted: May 22nd, 2016 - 8:50 pm

I just bought a USB headset with its own sound card and volume control. It is stereo only, can't be switched back and forth to mono. The volume control lights up when plugged in. It seems to work great, but the light was initially steady and now flashes intermittently, even when not being used.  Sometimes steady, sometimes flashing. Does anyone know why this could be happening? I emailed the company and they said it could just be picking up sounds from the computer, but it happens when I'm transcribing and when it's just sitting there on my desk. Anyone? TIA for any feedback.
