I do strongly recommend going the image restore route to get back your current OS, but you can download and roll back over a weekend and then reinstall Win 10 on that computer for free if/when you need it in future.
And this is why no one knowledgeable is panicking. M$ is resorting to every trick in the book to shove Win 10 down everyone's throats whether they want it or not, and that includes twisting arms at all the computer mags to panic people into installing it now.
(Do note, the free upgrade only has ever applied to a computer currently running Win 7 or 8, not to a clean install on a new computer in future, so you may end up paying for Win 10 on a new piece of hardware if your current computer doesn't last until you need to move--but that's the same whether you install before or after 6/29.)
