please clarify what you mean by IC - StillAnMT

When you say IC, does that mean you are dealing directly with the physician or are you subcontracting to a transcription company.

As a subcontractor for a transcription company, I make 7 CPL. As an IC for a physician office, I made just under double that.

I make a decent living on 7 CPL. BUT, I would not be able to do that without learning how to make macros and teaching myself to use ShortHand to the absolute nth degree. And I also work similar accounts with only a handful of physicians so I have become very familiar with them. From what I read here, there are some services that throw in everything into the queue. If I had that type of work, I would be lucky to make minimum wage.

Good luck.
