The auto industry went out partially because unions demanded too much money for their workers and too many benefits--seriously $70,000 a year plus PTO for screwing a bolt into a door? Their workers were not making minimum wage like many MTs are, so I'm not sure where the correlation is here.
That being said, MTs are being treated horribly. However, I think you really think that something is going to be done. This has been going on for years and years, and it only gets worse.
All of you need to give up the hope that things are going to get better. That's why you're getting yourselves all in a funk.
