You all state that the statement was rude but was not. Noone ridiculed anyone, no one called someone a name, and no one bad mouthed you. It was a statement of fact and if it hurt your feelings then something is wrong. Why not overlook something like that and try to see the other side of things instead of coming off defensive. You know if you call someone rude, it is not going to end up well and is going to start an argument. If you didn't like what was said, just ignore it and move on. I do think you were being a little too sensitive.
