Your last sentence is great -- "...very few companies who want to do right by their employees" -- I think that's why nobody is getting a raise and why there is such inequality right now. These employers are figuring out that they can treat employees like crap and there's nothing they can do about it, since so many people are scrambling over each other for jobs -- even poorly-paying jobs. Somebody is lying when they say "how great" the labor market is, etc. And I think Nuance is guilty of this to a bigger degree than some of the others. The only ones they want to do right by are themselves.
