What the Hell???? - GertieS

I have another health profession that requires me to dictate reports on patients. Never, ever, ever would I assume it is the transcriptionist's error if I have dictated something stupid. As a professional, you are supposed to read over your reports. When I began transcription, back in the 70s, the dark ages, we were never blamed for a physician's error. Yes, you questioned dictation that sounded off. Yes, you let the doctor know, but ultimately it was his responsibility to read his reports. You were never docked pay for the doctor's mistakes!!!! That was also back in the day when you had to have a college degree to be a transcriptionist. We have really gone through the looking glass!!! This company that pays $10 an hour is truly delusional.
