For as long as I've been transcribing (19 years) doctors have *always* made mistakes in their dictation. Speech rec has *always* made mistakes in the draft document. We as MTs are responsible for flagging and/or questioning and/or correcting those mistakes. The physicians are responsible for signing off on the completed document.
You should have flagged the discrepancy.
This is not an argument for/against FIESA. Just commenting on the work model in the transcription business. It's nothing new.
