PLEASE, for the love of God, when you're dictating quit mumbling, eating, belching, yawning, or turning away from whatever it is you're dictating into. Do you not realize when you do this we cannot hear or understand you? The patient you're dictating on is someone's family, friend, or loved one. Some day it will be you or some one you love in that bed.
Every patient deserves enough respect for you to wait until you're done dictating to eat, yawn, belch, or whatever else you decide to do while still dictating. We can't transcribe what we can't hear or understand.
