The smaller companies that use Emdat are getting work from Nuance. The company I work for got their ambulatory care and some clinics. Sorry can't say the name, but we got it in December and I remember reading posts from MTs stating they worked on AC and it was just gone!
That is what I think Nuance is trying to do. Farm it out and not have to pay employee benefits, etc. BTW, our rate went from 8 cpl to 7 cpl and voice 4 cpl and they want it all on voice, no straight typing and we are ICs.
