This is only one company, but this is a huge market right now - AHIMA is pushing it also, some require you to be a med student, college, etc. but others do not.

The pay is very low. In our local hospital, the scribes are not even hospital employees, they are outsourced by companies like above.

It is a big deal - a lot of physicians are using these scribes so they do not even have to dictate, and a lot cheaper then hiring an MTSO at all.
