I used a T-mobile hotspot while I was staying at a place that didn't have internet access. It had the 4G LTE connection and worked perfectly. I got a good deal for it at the T-mobile store too. I dunno how well it would work over the road, but it might be something to look into. I think your best bet would be to look at coverage maps and see which company has the best coverage for where you travel with your husband. Good luck.
