Regarding editing and lines divided in half - can anyone at all edit twice as fast as transcribe

Just curious and it could just be the accounts I am editing, but there is no way I can edit twice as fast, yet the lines are divided in half when it comes to grid payment.

Is it just me and my account that I am unable to edit twice as fast as transcribe?
