Can someone please help. On the abbreviation STEMI and NSTEMI, I find conflicting ways to extend the abbreviation out on searching the internet. My Stedman's Cardiology and Abbreviation books are older versions and do not even have the abbreviation in either of them. Is it: ST-elevation myocardial infarction OR ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction OR maybe both are acceptable for the abbreviation. The same with the NSTEMI. Thanks.
