Tonight, we had a band booster meeting at school. We determined a salary for a college student who is interning with the band. He works approximately 4 hours a week going over drum drills, and as stated by the director, "He has little experience but comes cheap." The kicker....dum, dum, dum (did you like my drum roll?)...he will be making more than I do. I feel sick, and I'm suddenly so tired I just want to crawl in bed. So...a 16 yo with a new job and now an intern working 4 hours a week will both be making more than I do per month. Does anyone ever just get the urge to cry until you can't cry anymore? So defeating.
