I had my interview this morning. The office has 4-5 physicians who dictate and 1 transcriptionist. No EMR, never had it and not interested. No speech rec either. I don't think I have seen anything this old school in a really long time. LOL. It was sort of like going back to pre-2000 medical office.
He was telling me it was a stressful job and asked how long turn around time I was used to. I said a few hours to 24 as a rule. He then said their turn around time was 1 to 2 WEEKS. It blew my mind when he said that.
The pay is meh, but more than I make now by a few bucks an hour. I haven't decided if I will accept if they offer. Monday through Friday, day shift, ALL holidays off. Sounds heavenly.
