This is what I think about when I see ads requiring 70-80 WPM:
With all the pauses and research I think I rarely get over 60 WPM but my typing speed is about 80 at my age. It feels like I must average about 30 WPM at the most. It's not like the good old days with pause commands and doctors who knew how to dictate where you could maintain momentum and sail through the whole report at 80+ WPM.
I also wonder if the MTSOs have any idea how much they have slowed us down with their clunky platforms, keyboard "shortcuts" stretching your fingers off the home keys, demographic and doctor name searches and all the other required unpaid labor that is off the keyboard.
