I worked for a small MT company for 4 years doing clinical notes for a Midwest medical school. In November they got rid of us. Supposedly the doctors were very upset by this and tried to keep us on (according to the owner of the company), but to no avail. Bottom line, it came down to $$$$. What else.
I am still trying to hang in there, but I am retired, so it is supplemental for me and I like the convenience of working at home, but it is getting harder and harder. More and more they ask of us and less they pay.
