Do you need an MT who just sits around in case you need them? Advertise for a prn MT. Stop playing these games. If you want an experienced, knowledgeable, reliable MT, advertise and pay for one. Stop the games. Stop the scams. If you want an IC, pay for it, do not take advantage of MTs with schedule requirements, etc. with a pay that is nothing but minimum wage. Stop disguising your jobs and your pay. Be honest and upfront. State your pay. State the type of job you have. Make yourself legitimate. Stop the "employee status" BS, when you turn around and make them use their PTO as a wage. That is a benefit, people. How would you like to put in 12-14 hours a day at the computer trying to get 8 hours worth of work. If you require a certain number of lines per day, provide it. Do not over hire. You bring down wages for all of those you employee when you over hire. This profession needs to get "real" again.
