Having a child will qualify you for food stamps. You probably already get them, and you and your child should get free healthcare. You can't have more than 2,000 dollars in the bank (at least here in Ohio) or your won't qualify. (crazy). I have not been able to find a job for 2 years now. Luckily, when I got laid off, I was on unemployment and just in time to retire on Social Security, but it's not enough. I was able to qualify for free utility help, (electric) from something called HEAP. You should too, call your electric company and ask them to guide you to the right agency.
