I am an employee (NOT an IC) of a mid sized East Coast company and I am never tracked. As long as I have my lines in by the end of the day, they are good with that and so I am. It is sometimes dangerous to use "all" and "never." It just is not possible to know what every single company is doing. I agree with you that many companies track. Mine does not, for which I am thankful. I have a child to care for and appreciate the flexibility. Have a nice day.
