As an IC, you will pay at least 15.9% payroll taxes, 10% federal income taxes, state taxes and perhaps local taxes.
Then there is the cost of health insurance.
So, multiply that 8 cpl x 200 lph = 16 dollars per hour maximum, x 0.60 (your take home) and you will make $10.40 per hour x 2000 hours annually = 20,800 per year.
Many more fields offer that and then some without the abuse.
