Atheon EMR provides a transcription interface to their clients at no addition cost. I wonder now many other EMRs also provide this, or will in the future due to the number of provider complaints about having to do their own data entry. I have purchased a few digital recorders to loan out to doctor clients, but they purchase their own recorders. I've had digital recorders for about $100 with excellent sound quality.
What about data transfer services in lieu of having to purchase an interface with cloud? I researched one transcription data transfer service, HIPAA compliant that has a single user rate of $10 per month. That is for only 1 GB of dictation. A plan for 200 users and 100 GB of dictation is $100 per month. I have no idea how many GB an hour of dictation would be. Do you? The transfer service also had a 15-day free trial.
