How frugal has MT made you? - Poorme Posted: Oct 9th, 2015 - 2:00 pm
Just wondering how the decline in MT wages has affected other people. Here are some things I now find myself doing:
1. Cutting my own hair.
2. Going without dentists or doctors.
3. No new clothes other than an occasional cheap pair of jeans to replace a pair I have worn to a frazzle.
4. Ramen noodles from the dollar store for many meals.
5. Sewing holey socks over and and over again.
6. Using cheap wood pellets rather than expensive cat litter.
7. Hand-shoveling a 200-foot driveway rather than paying for someone to plow.
8. Doing all household and yard chores myself for the same reason.
9. Line-drying everything and only using the dryer to "fluff" briefly (to save on utility bills).
10. Keeping heat in winter to only 60 or 65 for the same reason.
