If you are taking a basic course to help you pass the CPC exam - The elephant in the room

Posted: Oct 4th, 2015 - 11:19 am

I think we've all been seeing all the basic fundamental courses that help us pass the CPC exam.  Nobody ever talks about the elephant in the room though. They are geared to help you pass the CPC exam. Yes, and they do. The problem is, that's all they do. They are teaching you to answer tests in multiple choice. They aren't teaching us to code well enough to get a job.  I haven't run into any employment tests that were in multiple choice. They all want you to know how to search out a code from a scenario.

So we got a temporary fix that ends up hurting more than helping, because even if you have the CPC-A because you got through that multiple-choice test, you still can't code, and if you can't code, you can't get a job.  Thanks for listening. Somebody needed to say it.  The elephant in the room.
