Are there any flexible companies or maybe true IC status? - sm

I am having to take one of my elderly parents to chemotherapy and appointments, so I need to find something part-time with a little flexibility to where I can take off a few hours occasionally to take care of it.  The company I'm at is not flexible at all, and this is very important...  I've been an MT and QA for over 20 years, so I have plenty of experience.  Any leads greatly appreciated.
