pitching the accounts & making crazy promises because they have no idea what it is we do, and then the client go-betweens/account representatives usually have not been MTs either, so none of the people involved in new accounts has any idea what needs to happen. Corporations really have screwed up this whole industry. (I knew one of the MM salesmen, who had an associate's in real estate but no clue about MT, anything medical, how hospitals work, not even much about computers. Made excellent money though, way more than those of us who spent years learning all this stuff & actually do the work that earns the revenue...)
