I would 20,000 times rather do op notes than just about any other work type. Especially discharge summaries where the speaker often feels the need to read/dictate from every report in a patient's file from the last five years, list all the medications even if they can't pronounce half of them, etc. Like many posters have mentioned here, op notes are pretty straight forward, the speakers usually blast through them, and with the ability to look at past reports and access online sites, there's really nothing to hold you back. I, for one, took a measure of pride when I was first assigned op notes--it was like I'd "arrived" in the MT world.
