I am using an old edition of Stedman's Med/Surg Words and sometimes can find what I'm looking for, BUT I also used Google's Custom Search for MT and can usually find what I need. Maybe, it's the way you are searching. Are you using an * (asterisk) for words you're not sure about or maybe you have to add more informational words to the search. If I remember correctly, you're fairly new at this, and sometimes just time and exposure (not personally, of course LOL) to these instruments does the trick.
