This saves this time because now we don't have to even get the emails first. When the system does come up again thanks to our superstellar IT who are getting paid for this cluster and we get a flood of emails they all will not matter. All the critical alert and all hands on deck would have been relevant at the time sent, not the time received.
So enjoy your quiet, and when the company decides they have something important to say they will get the email fixed. They know it is down, they have a master ticket. Rest assured India IT is on it!
